How to make decisions today and tomorrow facing so many unknowns

YOU Create it.  Think outside the box, step outside the box and make it happen.

EXPECT CHANGE and allow yourself to adopt and embrace:

Confidence

Harnesses

Achievable

Notions

Generating

Experts

Change, yes, change is inevitable and how we prepare for | respond to it determines the results.  Choosing, first and foremost, to make those results favorable and positive to you and those touched by the action / reaction.

There are many words / actions / perceptions from the words you can fill in for each letter in the word CHANGE but know that confidence will harness achievable notions until generating experts.  We are all experts; at what does not matter.

What does matter is that we release the expertise we have harnessed over the years.  The years change, attitudes, hope or hopelessness prevail.  You must choose which will serve you and those you love best.

I dare scream … choose to be confident, fulfilled by the challenge and grateful for the outcome… CSea

We have always know there are two sides to everything.  I’ll never forget hearing it from George Burns on stage in Las Vegas, there is a top to every bottom, a left side to every right side, an end to every beginning, etc. etc.  There was attitude in what and how he said it but everyone got the gist of his message.

Being proactive, aware of potential circumstances will effectively arm us with the knowledge to obviate / defeat the downside.

During the “Alphabetically Speaking” series, when I posted “N is for Numerology” I promised that in January I would present a 10-part “Numerically Speaking” series. This first post is to share with you how to calculate your Life Path Number.

Once you’ve calculated yours (and that of your family and friends) my next 9 posts will share detailed information about what each of the 9 Life Path numbers means.

In the “N is for Numerology” post I shared what Numerology is. If you missed that post or you’d like a refresher, simply follow this LINK.

What is a Life Path Number?
In Numerology, the Life Path Number represents natural characteristics, talents, and traits based on a person’s date of birth. On the day you were born certain powers were bestowed upon you that will be with you your entire life…

Welcome Summer; conserve our natural resources

As we welcome Summer 2012 here in the US, we need to do it with earnest respect and awareness of the consequences of the event. Cause and Effect.

Three prominent and often ignored effects of Summer are dry conditions, health concerns and energy consumption issues; larger than we allow ourselves to realize.  However, you can and should do something about it.  Forewarned is forearmed; be ecoWise to the conditions and avoid unnecessary expenses.

You may feel it most without hydrating yourself or properly insulating your domicile or offices. The fearful fire danger, carelessness of humans and lighting are even more reasons we must conserve our natural resources, water is critical to fighting these fires.

If you wish some ‘common sense’ shortcuts to mitigate or avoid the potential consequences, allowing you to fully enjoy the plentiful benefits of Summer, request them below.

It is so important to be living in prime time, rather than watching TV in prime time. On your way to success make certain you grow friendships, not just bank and mutual fund accounts. Life is a collection of memories, not of material things. The Egyptian pharaohs were buried with all their treasures, and were mummified in hopes that they could enjoy their bounty in the next life. But we are only caretakers of possessions. There is a big difference between standard of living and quality of life. Standard of living is based on income earned. Quality of life is the enjoyment of the millions of minutes in between accomplishments.

Having money is only one aspect of wealth. To the sick person, wealth is health. To the lonely person, wealth is someone to talk to and share with. To the estranged person, wealth is hearing words of love and forgiveness.

Borrowing the free verse style from Brother Jeremiah‘s classic poem, I’d Pick More Daisies, here are a few things I’d do, the second time around.

I’d laugh at my misfortunes more. Spend more time counting my blessings than my blemishes. Spend more time playing with my children and grandchildren and less time watching performers in the arena. More time enjoying what I have, less time thinking about the things I don’t have. If I could live my life again, I’d walk in the rain more without an umbrella and listen less to weather reports. I’d spend more time looking at trees and climbing them, less time flipping through magazines made from dead trees. I’d spend more time fully involved in the present moment, less time remembering and anticipating. I’d smile more, frown less.

And most of all I’d be more spontaneous and active, less hesitant and subdued. When some spur of the moment idea came up to go hiking, playing Frisbee, coloring Easter eggs, singing in a chorus, going kayaking, or watching an eclipse, I’d be less likely to sit in my chair objecting, “It’s not in our plan.”

I’d be inclined to jump up and run out the door next time and say, “Yes, we can!” Although I can’t live my life again, I’m still going to live the new way every day any way. I’ll never have all the moments I’ve missed, but I do have all the time remaining.

Action Idea: Choose one activity this month that you really want to engage in, but that you have been putting off because it isn’t a priority. Schedule that activity in your planner, as if it were a “must do” business or financial commitment. When you have done it, while you are still feeling good, schedule one for next month, and do it as long as you live

You are a Rolls Royce, which model are you?

Remember, no one can make you feel inferior with out your consent – Eleanor Roosevelt

”By being yourself, you put something wonderful in the world that was not there before.” Edwin Elliot

Find your strengths and use them in a positive way.

Travel the road that you have chosen and don’t look back with regret. You have to take chances to make your dreams happen.

Remember that there is plenty of time to travel another road – and still another – in your journey through life.

Take the time to find the route that is right for you. You will learn something valuable from every trip you take, so don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

Tell yourself that you’re okay just the way you are. Make friends who respect your true self.

Take the time to be alone, too, so you can know just how terrific your own company can be.

Remember that being alone doesn’t always mean being lonely; it can be a beautiful experience of finding your creativity, your heartfelt feelings, and the calm and quiet peace deep inside you.

Don’t ever forget that you are special and you have within you the ability to make your dreams come true.

”If we knew the true power of belief and positive thinking, we would never have a negative thought.”  Susan Santucci

Count your blessings at the end of every day – don’t focus on the problems you’ve faced that day; rather, think of all the good things that happened and the happiness they gave you.

Think of others rather than yourself – when you do things, even the smallest favors, for other people who mean something to you, you feel good about yourself.

Be proactive rather than reactive – instead of fretting over a problem and letting it stress you out, focus on how to resolve quickly and effectively. When your mind is busy trying to find a solution, you stop feeling sorry for yourself and start thinking positively.

Don’t allow your mind to remain idle – it may be clichéd, but it’s also true that an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. So stay busy and keep doing something or the other to prevent negative thoughts from creeping in.

Get an hour of exercise every day – even a brisk walk in the morning or evening will do your mental health a world of good.

Allow yourself some “me” time
– set aside some time every day or every few days for yourself when you get to choose what you want to do; read a book, listen to music, catch up with friends, or just laze around. When your soul is nourished, you find that positive energy flows.

Stop negative thoughts before they form completely – if you find yourself becoming depressed because your mind is taking a negative bent, stop those thoughts in their tracks and start consciously thinking of positive things.

Spend time with people who love you and make you feel good about yourself – quality relationships make life worth living.

Anytime you feel that the weight of your burden is hard to bear, talk to a friend or someone with a sympathetic ear – even if they cannot do anything to help you out, just the fact that you have someone on your side is uplifting enough.

And finally, look around you before you start to feel sorry for yourself – there are people in situations that are a hundred times worse than yours, yet they manage to get through each day.

Tell yourself that you have a good life, count your blessings, and learn to stay positive no matter what.

Let go, move forward

People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.”

To let go isn’t to forget, not to think about, or ignore.  It doesn’t leave feelings of anger, jealousy, or regret.  Letting go isn’t about winning or losing.  It’s not about pride and it’s not about how you appear, and it’s not obsessing or dwelling on the past.  Letting go isn’t blocking memories or thinking sad thoughts, and it doesn’t leave emptiness, hurt, or sadness.  It’s not about giving in or giving up.  Letting go isn’t about loss and it’s not about defeat.

To let go is to cherish the memories, but to overcome and move on.  It is having an open mind and confidence in the future.  Letting go is learning and experiencing and growing.  To let go is to be thankful for the experiences that made you laugh, made you cry, and made you grow. It’s about all that you have, all that you had, and all that you will soon gain.  Letting go is having the courage to accept change, and the strength to keep moving.  Letting go is growing up.  It is realizing that the heart can sometimes be the most potent remedy.  To let go is to open a door, and to clear a path and set yourself free.

”You don’t realize that if you stop looking backwards craving the love and acceptance which you didn’t receive from your parents, then you might open your eyes to what is available for you now.  But you won’t let go. If only you could see that looking back into an incomplete and imperfect past, with regret, blame, guilt or resentment is keeping you from the treasures that await you here now.  The past has gone.  You cannot rectify something that is no longer with you.”

Leonard Jacobson

Forgive, release negativity

All About Soul

Image via Wikipedia ... All about your peace within; choose wisely.

Protect yourself; forgive urgently and speedily.

Why?

You will suffer far more than the individual that hurt you… CSea

____________

When I feel betrayed by someone, instead of sulking, clinging to my resentment and playing the role of victim, I am challenged to strengthen my soul through forgiveness.

By forgiving the person who hurt me, I strengthen my soul. . . . each time we are called upon to forgive, we nourish our souls and learn more about who we are and what we have to share in this world.

This is also an example of unconditional love.

The Power of Habit by Denis Waitley

changing fate

You may know me.
I’m your constant companion.

I’m your greatest helper; I’m your heaviest burden.

I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.

I am at your command.
Half the tasks you do might as well be turned over to me.

I’m able to do them quickly, and I’m able to do them the same every time,
if that’s what you want.

I’m easily managed; all you’ve got to do is be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want it done; after a few lessons I’ll do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great men and women; of course,
I’m the servant of all the failures as well.
I’ve made all the winners who have ever lived.
And, I’ve made all the losers too.

But I work with all the precision of a marvelous computer
with the intelligence of a human being.
You may run me for profit, or you may run me to ruin;
it makes no difference to me.

Take me. Be easy with me, and I will destroy you.
Be firm with me, and I’ll put the world at your feet.
Who am I?

I’m Habit!

Forgive

Sweep your heart clean by forgiving.

You hear people say this all the time: “I have a right to be upset because of the way I’ve been treated. I have a right to be angry, hurt, depressed, sad, and resentful.” Learning to avoid this kind of thinking is one of my secrets for living a life of inner peace, success, and happiness. Anytime you’re filled with resentment, you’re turning the controls of your emotional life over to others to manipulate.

I became aware of how powerful this lesson was many years ago while … CONTINUE READING

14 Ways To Be A Great Startup CEO

14 Ways To Be A Great Startup CEO.

As quoted on OnStartups …

Everyone thinks that being a start-up CEO is a glamorous job or one that has to be a ton of fun. That’s what I now refer to as the “glamor brain” speaking aka the start-up life you hear about from the press. You know the press articles I’m talking about… the ones that talk about how easy it is to raise money, how many users the company is getting, and how great it is to be CEO. Very rarely do you hear about what a responsibility it is to be CEO and how it’s not for every founder that wants to be an entrepreneur. I’ve spent a lot of time recently thinking about what it takes to be a great Start-up CEO that is also a founder. Here are some of the traits I’ve found.

Be A Keeper Of The Company Vision

The CEO is the keeper of the company’s overall vision. I’m not talking about the vision for the next few months, but the larger road ahead. The CEO needs to be able to keep things on course for the current quarter to make sure that the large overarching vision of the company can be achieved.
